Bayerischer Wurstsalat
(Barvarian Sausage Salad) Recipe

Origin: German      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

250g knockwurst, cooked and allowed to cool
2 small pickles
1 medium onion
3 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp mustard (Dijon, English or Gulden)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp sugar
1 tbsp capers
1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Bayerischer Wurstsalat
(Barvarian Sausage Salad) Preparation:


Method:

Cut the knockwurst into small cubes. Mince the pickles and onion then mix together the vinegar, mustard and oil. Add salt, pepper, paprika and sugar, adjusting the seasonings if desired). Add the capers and mix well. Stir in the chopped knockwurst, pickles, and onions. Just before serving, garnish with chopped parsley.
