Bayerische Erdbeercreme
(Strawberry Barvarian) Recipe

Origin: German      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

800g fresh strawberries
150g sugar
1 tbsp unflavoured gelatine
120ml cold water
2 tsp lemon juice
240ml double cream, whipped

Bayerische Erdbeercreme
(Strawberry Barvarian) Preparation:


Method:

Slice the strawberries and mix with the sugar. Allow to stand until the sugar dissolves. Sprinkle gelatin over cold waterand allow to stand for 5 minutes, then heat gently until the gelatine dissolves completely.

Add the gelatin and lemon juice to the sliced berries. Fold in the whipped cream. Pour into a 1l mould or serving dish and chill until set. Carefully unmold and serve.
