Bat Wing Soup RecipeOrigin: America Period: Traditional |
Ingredients:
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Bat Wing Soup Preparation:Method:Heat the oil in a pan and use to fry the garlic until just beginning to colour (about 8 minutes). Add the tomatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes. Take off the heat and allow to cool for a few minutes then blend in a food processor until smooth (you may need to do this in batches). Return to the pan and bring back to a simmer. Meanwhile, prepare the bat wings. Remove the crusts from your bread then flatten each slice with a rolling pin. Cut in half, diagonally and, using kitchen scissors scallop the long edge to resemble the folds of a bat's wing. Place each triangle on a baking sheet. Spread with butter and sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the top. Place in an oven pre-heated to 200°C and bake for about 6 minutes, or until golden brown. Turn half way through. Ladle the soup into bowls and serve with two of the bat wings. Find more Halloween Recipes Here |
