Barbecued Pork Strips Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

120ml soy sauce
60ml Chinese rice wine (or dry sherry)
70g brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/8 tsp black pepper
120ml barbecue sauce
240g pineapple chunks (with juice)
1.3kg lean pork, cut into strips

Barbecued Pork Strips Preparation:


Method:

Add a little oil to a frying pan and use to fry the pork strips until coloured. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, add all the other ingredients to a crockpot and stir to combine. Stir-in the pork and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook, covered, on low for about 9 hours. Serve along with the sauce, accompanied by white rice.
