Ingredients:
140g Chocolate Wafer crumbs
Banana Nut Cheesecake Preparation:Method:Combine the crumbs and melted butter in a bowl then press into the base of a 22cm diameter spring-form cake tin. Transfer to an oven pre-heated to 170°C and bake for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth then beat in the banana until thoroughly blended. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly to combine after each addition. Now stir in the walnuts then pour the filling over the prepared crust. Transfer to the oven and bake for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly then loosen the sides of the tin. Allow to cool completely before removing the pan rim. Now melt the chocolate, butter and water in a bain-marie (double boiler) and when the mixture is smooth take off the heat and drizzle over the top of the chesecake. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours before serving. |
