Ingredients:
60g butter
Baked Savoury Lentils Preparation:Method:Melt the butter in the base of a heavy flame-proof casserole. Add the onion and fry for about 6 minutes, or until just beginning to brown. Stir in the lentils and garam masala and fry, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes aromatic (about 5 minutes). Add the white stock, tomato purée and cayenne pepper then bring to a simmer, cover tightly with a lid and transfer to an oven pre-heated to 180°C. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until all the stock has been absorbed and the lentils are tender. Serve hot. |
