Baked Sausages with Apples, Oyster Mushrooms and Cider Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

200g oyster mushrooms, sliced
8 sausages
2 leeks
2 cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped
500ml (about) tart cider
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 fresh sage leaves

Baked Sausages with Apples, Oyster Mushrooms and Cider Preparation:


Method:

Arrange the sausages in an oven-proof dish and set the apples and leeks arround them. Scatter the brown sugar over the top then add the sage leaves before pouring the cider everything (you need just enough cider to cover).

Cover the dish and place in an oven pre-heated to 180°C bake for about 30 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through. Serve the sausages with mashed potatoes and arrange the leeks and apple mix on the side.
