Braised Bok Choy with St George's Mushroom Recipe

Origin: Fusion      Period: Modern

Ingredients

250g bok choy (Chinese cabbage) cut into 2cm by 3cm chunks
120g St George's Mushroom, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp groundnut oil
freshly-ground black pepper, to taste

Braised Bok Choy with St George's Mushroom Preparation:


Method:

Heat the groundnut oil in a wok, add the bok choi and stir-fry for 1 minute before adding the soy sauce and salt. Stir-fry for 2 minutes more then add the mushrooms and sesame oil. Stir to combine then add 500ml water. Cover and simmer until the ingredients are done and the sauce has thickened.
