(Greek Egg Omelette) Recipe

Origin: Greece      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

4 eggs
1 tbsp butter
salt and freshly-ground black pepper

Avga Omeleta
(Greek Egg Omelette) Preparation:


Method:

Crack the eggs into a bowl, season with the salt and black pepper then beat thoroughly. Melt the butter in a frying pan and when beginning to brown add the eggs. Allow to cook, undisturbed, and as soon as the omelette has begun to solidify and has coloured golden brown on its base turn over. Cover the pan with a large plate and continue cooking until the omelette is done through. Divide in half and serve immediately.
