Aussie Barbecue Seasoning Recipe

Origin: Australia      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

4 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp sweet paprika
4 tsp sea salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp fennel seeds
2 tsp granulated onion
1 tsp hot chilli powder
1 tsp granulated garlic
1 tsp caraway seed
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp allspice berries
1/4 tsp ground cloves

Method:

Add the whole spices to a dry pan and toast until fragrant. Immediately tip into a coffee grinder, along with the sea salt and grind to a fine paste. Mix with the remaining spices and store in an air-tight jar.
