Apple and Avocado Salad with Wakame Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Modern

Ingredients:

1 small avocado, pitted, peeled and thinly sliced
1 tart apple, cored, peeled and julienned
30g dried wakame (or dried Atlantic wakame (dabberlocks)), re-hydrated in warm water for 20 minutes, drained and julienned
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste (or substitute dried pepper dulse)

Apple and Avocado Salad with Wakame Preparation:


Method:

Whisk together the olive oil and lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with dried pepper dulse or salt and black pepper. Combine the avocado, apple and wakame in a bowl. Pour the dressing over the top then toss gently to combine and serve.
