Ingredients:
180g sifted flour
Amish Corn Bread Preparation:Method:Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a bowl then add the cornmeal and stir to combine. Meanwhile mix together the egg, milk and molten butter until thoroughly combine. Slowly add this to the dry ingredients and beat the batter until smooth. Pour the batter into a well-greased 22 x 22 x 5cm baking tin and place in an oven pre-heated to 200°C. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until nicely golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cornbread emerges clean. |
