Aloha Cheesecake RecipeOrigin: America Period: Modern |
Ingredients:
150g Vanilla Wafer Crumbs
Aloha Cheesecake Preparation:Method:Combine the vanilla wafer crumbs and butter in a bowl. Stir thoroughly to combine then press into the base of a lightly-greaed 22cm diameter springform cake tin. Transfer to an oven pre-heated to 170°C and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside (leave the oven on). Beat the cream cheese until soft then add the sugar and milk and beat until smooth and thoroughly combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly to incorporate after each addition then stir in the nuts and pour the resultant mixture over the crust. Return to the oven and bake for 45 minutes. After this time remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack. Loosen the sides of the pan (but do not remove) then set the cake aside to cool completely before removing the rim. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 3 hours before topping with the fruit, slicing into wedges, and serving. |
