Almond Praline Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

125g caster sugar
60ml honey
125g toasted almonds, chopped

Almond Praline Preparation:


Method:

Combine the sugar and honey in a pan and heat until the sugar melts and develops a deep amber colour. Stir in the chopped almonds then pour the mixture onto a greased tin, baking tray or slab. When cool break into pieces and store in an air-tight jar.

As a guide 1 US cup of flour = 4 1/2 oz = 140g (this applies to breadcrumbs, ground almonds etc
1 US cup of butter/margarine or sugar = 7 oz = 200g
