Ahi Poke Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

240g fresh ahi tuna fillet, cut into 2cm cubes
100g red onions, chopped
100g ogo (raw red or brown seaweed, such as Alaria esculenta (Dabberlocks), dulse and Sugar Kelp or equivalent local seaweed), finely shredded
2 spring onions, sliced
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp soy sauce
3/4 tsp coarse sea salt
mixed greens, to serve
toasted sesame seeds, to garnish

Ahi Poke Preparation:


Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and toss to mix. The following day arrange the tuna mixture on a bed of fresh greens, garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
