Aduki Beans Recipe

Origin: Japanese      Period: Modern

Ingredients:

200g Aduki (Adzuki) beans
1l water
1 strip kombu seaweed or nori
1/4 tsp salt

Aduki Beans Preparation:


Method:

Simply boil the ingredients until the aduki beans are soft. Strain and serve with rice. For a sweeter and richer version add 300g of diced butternut squash.

As a guide 1 US cup of flour = 4 1/2 oz = 140g (this applies to breadcrumbs, ground almonds etc
