English TranslationIngredients:
350g pig's liver Method:Finely-chop the liver, belly pork and onions and mix together. Add the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and egg before mixing well. With wetted hands take an egg-sized lump of the mixture and shape into a ball (you should have enough mixture for about ten of these). Place these on a baking tray, cover with greased foil and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes. Traditionally these faggots would be served with garden peas and gravy. There are many variants of this basic recipe. Some include herbs, others include nutmeg (you could even add chilli) and many recipes exclude the belly pork. Take the recipe given above as a guide and experiment! |
