English TranslationIngredients:
450g of plain flour Method:Sift together the flour and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl before stirring-in the brown sugar. In the meantime, beat the egg in a separate bowl then add the milk and whisk to combine. Slowly, add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and beat thoroughly until smooth. Heat a bakestone, griddle or non-stick pan and when hot add a dab of butter. When the butter has melted add about 3 tbsp of the batter and cook until the top surface is pockmarked with bubbles. Turn the crumpet over and cook on the other side until golden and cooked through. Serve hot with butter and sugar. |
