Lelhunnus is known from a three inscriptions, all dedicated to Mars Lelhunnus (CIL XIII 00422, 00423, 00424) at the temple of Mars, Aire-sur-l'Adour, Landes, France. Like Leucetius is a deity of light conflated with Mars by Interpretato Romana; this being Mars in warrior guise.
The etymology of the deity's name is uncertain, but it has been proposed that it may be derived from the reconstructed proto-Celtic root *leuxs- (light) and thus Lelhunnus' name may have the meaning of 'The Bright One'.
