Larraso is a Gaulish deity known from a two inscription found at Moux (CIL XII 5369 and 5370) and one Gaulish inscription in Greek (IGR 22) found at Carcasonne, both in the Aude region of France where the iconography suggests assimilation with the Roman deity Vulcan by Interpretato Romana.
The name is probably derived from the reconstructed proto-Celtic elements *lā- (only, alone) and *ās-no-, which is itself derived from the proto Indo-European root *as- (to burn, to glow) yielding a meaning something like 'He who is the Fire' or maybe 'He who is the Forge', thus Larraso was probably a smith deity.
