In the tale of Breuddwyd Rhonabwy Heilyn Goch mab Cadwgan mab Iddon is the owner of the filthy ancient hall where Rhonawby and his companions come to rest. Heilyn and his wife are described in this tale as: ruddy, clownish, curly-headed man, with a burden of faggots on his back, and a pale slender woman, also carrying a bundle under her arm.

Despite the verming infesting their couches Rhonabwy's companions fall asleep. But Rhonabwy himself is unable to rest and he spies a yellow calfskin on the floor and decides to rest there. Whereupon he receives his dream.
