Drem vab Dremidydd (Sight, son of Seer) is one of the many figures mentioned in Culhwch at Olwen where he is distinguished by the keeness of his sight. Again, his tale could well represent a fragment of a lost tradition and it is stated that Drem mab dremidydd a welei o gelli wic ygherniν hyd yn penn blathaon ym prydein pan drychaνei y gvydbedin y bore gan yr heul. 'Drem, son of Seer who could see from Gelliwig in Cornwall as far as Pen Blathaon in Scotland, at a time in the morning when a gnat would rise with the sun'.
Blathaon may be derived from an old Cymric plural of wolf (bleidd). Thus it colud be 'the peninsula of wolves' in Pictland and represents either John o'Groats or Dunnet Head. Basically Drem was one who, during the early morning, could see everything ocurring across the entire length and breadth of the coutry.
