Another week has gone by and it's almost Hallow'een. Now you should have been very busy on the run-up to this date pushing Hallowe'en materials and goods. But now it's time to turn your attention towards Christmas. I have to admit that, personally, I've been a bit lax in this regard as I've been working very hard on something something really, really big to bring to you. When I say big, this time I mean really, really, huge. Last week I talke a lot about my new ClickBank-based system. Now I've added a whole bunch of tools to the site that will allow you to monetize your own websites with this system absolutely free. Yes, I'm about to give you all the tools you need to monetize your website with ClickBank products...

ClickBank is one of the big players in the electronic document areas with thousands of products for sale, many of which offer affiliate commissions. It was potentially a huge market which could be exploited. So I did some digging and a lot of research. Basically ClickBank itself is geared towards getting affiliates for the products that they carry rather than selling those products themselves. Which meant that there was potentially a huge market for someone who could offer ClickBank products to a wider audience. Now there were some products already available that offered ClickBank products and some were quite slick. But they all had problems. This meant that I could actually come up with something better which could make me an income, but which could be shared with others as well.

As well as producing a 'best in class' ClickBank search marketplace I've now produced tools for creating a ClickBank search system on your own site as well as giving you the tools so that you can create AdSense-like contextual ads for your site as well as an RSS feed stuffed with ClickBank products. Basically everything you need to monetize your website...

Feature Article

Monetizing your Site with ClickBank

by Dyfed Lloyd Evans

If you're into internet marketing then the chances are that you will have heard of ClickBank. If you're not, then you probably havent... Indeed, ClcikBank only has about 140000 affiliates, so the chance is that the ordinary surfer hasn't got a clue what ClickBank is.

In case you're one of these pepole ondering what ClickBank is all about then it's a marketplace of electronic products all available for instant download. There are some 120000 products in ClickBank all told (eBooks, information products and software) and all are available for sale. Of these some 25000 products offer commissions of betwen 25% and 70% if you are able to sell a product for them.

To make money out of ClickBank you will need to sign-up for a ClickBank ID (known as a 'nickname'). You can get yours free by following this link.

OK, once you have your ClcikBank nickname you can search through ClickBank find some products, add your nickname to the links and begin your promotions. All this takes time and is a complicated process. Also ClickBank isn't particularly 'visitor firendly'. What if there was another option?

Well, there is — absolutely. What I've done is to create my own ClickBank product search site at Nemeton ClickBank Marketplace which allows display and search of every affiliate-paying product in the ClickBank range.

What makes this site of mine different then? Well, it's updated at least twice a week. ClickBank themselves update their database with the latest product and their best sellers once a day, but for the most part those are fairly minor updates. But I still track these changes every day and if important new products have been added then my site will be updated. But whatever happens to ClickBank I still update my site twice a week so you will always see the latest products here and their latest positions in the ClickBank marketplace. This means that you will always see the latest products shown.

But there's still a problem... OK, so I've produced a great website, with a wonderful way of searching for ClickBank products within it. But it's no help for others... I did some searching on the web and found out what other websites and ClickBank systems were doing. They were allowing users to search their sites with a search box, some were providing google-like contextual ads and a few were allowing users to build RSS feeds. But all required you to log into their site or to pay a monthly fee before you could use the tools. What if I could re-create all those tools? If I could do that I could make them available completely free to anyone.

This led me to think. And then I began to write code, lots of code. Within a day I'd already put up the Free Search Code page. This provided anyone with a ClickBank nickname (if you don't have one, you can get it here for FREE. Once you have this all you need to do is to pick-up the search code from my Free Search Code page then change all instances of 'YourClickBankName' in the code with your actual ClickBank nickname. There are three templates here so you will find one to suit your site. When someone performs a click using one of these serach boxes they are redirected to the Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace where the products brought out from the search have your ClickBank nickname in them so you earn the affiliate commissions.

Once I'd created the search code I went on to try something a lot more ambitious. I wanted to create a page that would allow any webmaster with a ClickBank nickname to simply create Adsense-like ads for any website. From this was born my ClickBank Contextual Ad Creator page. Basically it's a form where you enter your ClickBank nickname then you select an ad size and style, pick a ClickBank category for your ads (or use your own keywords) then chose the colour for your ads. Once this is done all that you need to do is to click a button and you get to see the ad you've created as well as getting the code you need to plug into your website for the ad to be displayed. All this is done automatically for you and as you provide your ClickBank nickname any sales made from the products displayed are, once again, credited to your ClickBank account. Even better as ClickBank products retain for an average of $30 any you typically get 60% of this as Affiliate Commissions this can be a lot more lucrative than Google's AdSense. The ads are created dynaically so a new set of ads will be displayed on each page refresh and they are automatically updated as my ClickBank database is updated. Basically, grabbing these ads and displaying them on your website is a no-brainer.

But, what about really basic sites, or sites that are based on Blogs where you can't display contextual ads and can't paste-in the search code. Well, I decided to provide a solution for these pages as well. From this quest was born my ClickBank RSS feed generator. Like the ClickBank Contextual Ad Creator what you get is a form that allows you to input your ClickBank nickname and to chose a category or sub-category of ClickBank for your feed (you can also use your own keywords). Pressing the button generates the feed and you get your personal feed URL at the bottom of the page. This is unique to the feed you just created and it allows the feed to be generated on the fly (you can create multiple feeds on different topics). Just copy the URL and paste it into your favorite aggregator in the back-end of your website or Blog. This allows you to add ClickBank ads to places where you normally couldn't so just about anyone can monetize their entire on-line presence with ClickBank. Which is really cool! Once again the feed is generated dynamically so a refresh shows new ads. The ads are also updated with each new release of ClickBank.

You can find more about all these solutions on my general ClickBank Ads page.

I think that I've now collected just about anything and everything you need to simply and easily add ClickBank products to your site, whether you want to add a search system, Google-like contextual ads or an RSS feed. Pretty much everything is don for you and you just need to grab the code and deploy. Essentially the bar to monetizing your site with ClickBank has been lowered so far that it's not there any more!

Am I just doing this to be generous? Well, I'm actually attempting to be philanthropic on several levels here. First of all I'm sick and tired of those sites charging for these systems. They're just making it more and more difficult for the small webmaster to get started. And that really won't do... However, the code I'm giving away was also designed to help support my Help Stefan Charity campaign. So what I'm doing is that I'm randomly inserting this site's ClickBank nickname in 8% of all the results that are generated. This means that 92% of any sales go to you and your website and 8% of the sales go to my site to aid the 'Help Stefan' program. I think you'll agree that this is a very generous split on my part. After all I'm not in this to make huge amounts of money, just to aid people who really require the help.

You're now ready to go and you can monetize your own site and blog with ClickBank... I hope you good luck with your efforts...

Multiple Streams...

I have to admit it, making money from the web is hard, extremely hard. If, like me, you're working 100+ hours a week trying to make both ends meet. Adding content, with your eye squarley focussed on AdSense then I have to warn you that this is a very short-sighted viewpoint. Yes, the search engines are important and most internet users use them as a short-cut to finding the sites you're interested in. You'll be amazed at how many poeple use Google to find amazon or ebay when typing-in the address is almost as easy and a lot more convenient. So you absolutely need to get into the search engines and you need to maintain a decent ranking to make sure that you're visible. But apart from that, what you need is good branding and marketing for your site. Once your site is known then you have another job on your hands...

Like any business you simply can't afford to keep all your eggs in one basket. That's why adding the ClickBank code and ads that I've developed is an excellent way of bringing-in new income. You're no longer limited to a single income source and the bar to starting is so low that as long as you have your ClickBank ID you could be genrating a nice extra income ten minutes from now.

So don't look a gift horse in he mouth, grab the code now and get earning!

Business Tip

Monetizing Your Blog

There's been so much hype about blogs lately that it's difficult to know what's truth and what's just hype. There are a few people out there claiming to make millions every year from their blogs. But the truth is that most of us have blogs that simply announce thing we are doing or point visitors to a main website. There may be a few ads on there, some Google adsense maybe, but they're not really constructed for pulling-in a large income. Rather they're more of a fre advertising and announcemnet site.

Indeed, on most blogs it's vritually impossible to add any monetizing sources as these are invariably based on JavaScript and that simply doesn't work (or is forbidden) in most blogs. This is one major reason that I developed the search technology for my ClickBank Marketplace that I did. It's constructed in pure HTML so you can use the search code above to monetize you blog (or any other web page you desire). So, what's stopping you? Pick-up the code above today and use it to add ClickBank to your search system now.

Even better, if you have a blog is my ClickBank RSS feed as this is considered 'news' rather than an ad and isn't penalized by the search engines. Also just about every blog software allows you to incorporate a news feed into your blog. So why not use these ads to add an extra source of income for your website today?!

That's it for this week, ladies and gentlemen. Check back next week for more from the world of CeltNet.
