ClickBank is one of the big players in the electronic document areas with thousands of products for sale, many of which offer affiliate commissions. It was potentially a huge market which could be exploited. So I did some digging and a lot of research. Basically ClickBank itself is geared towards getting affiliates for the products that they carry rather than selling those products themselves. Which meant that there was potentially a huge market for someone who could offer ClickBank products to a wider audience. Now there were some products already available that offered ClickBank products and some were quite slick. But they all had problems. Monetizing your Site with ClickBank

If you're into internet marketing then the chances are that you will have heard of ClickBank. If you're not, then you probably havent... Indeed, ClcikBank only has about 140000 affiliates, so the chance is that the ordinary surfer hasn't got a clue what ClickBank is.
In case you're one of these pepole ondering what ClickBank is all about then it's a marketplace of electronic products all available for instant download. There are some 120000 products in ClickBank all told (eBooks, information products and software) and all are available for sale. Of these some 25000 products offer commissions of betwen 25% and 70% if you are able to sell a product for them.
To make money out of ClickBank you will need to sign-up for a ClickBank ID (known as a 'nickname'). You can get yours free by following this link.
OK, once you have your ClcikBank nickname you can search through ClickBank find some products, add your nickname to the links and begin your promotions. All this takes time and is a complicated process. Also ClickBank isn't particularly 'visitor firendly'. What if there was another option?
Well, there is — absolutely. What I've done is to create my own ClickBank product search site at Nemeton ClickBank Marketplace which allows display and search of every affiliate-paying product in the ClickBank range.
What makes this site of mine different then? Well, it's updated at least twice a week. ClickBank themselves update their database with the latest product and their best sellers once a day, but for the most part those are fairly minor updates. But I still track these changes every day and if important new products have been added then my site will be updated. But whatever happens to ClickBank I still update my site twice a week so you will always see the latest products here and their latest positions in the ClickBank marketplace. This means that you will always see the latest products shown.
ClickBank publish their products in the form of a datafeed. This is an XML file detailing their top 25000 products and all the categories and sub-categories that they lie in. However, as products can lie in several categories and sub-categories within ClickBank this means that they are only actually publishing some 5000 unique products. And just their best-selling products at that. However, as products become more and less popular they fall in and out of ClickBank's officila list. This means that there are a large number of products in ClickBank that never make it into the list, or fall out never to be seen again. I always keep track of these products. This means that my database is larger than anyone else's. If you can make an affiliate sale on these products then they can be found in my database. This gives you far more products to search than anyone else.
ClickBank's XML feed comes directly out of ClickBank's database and this is focussed on giving information to potential Affiliates rather than to potential customers of the various products. If you just parse the ClickBank feed and put it up on your website what you get are the product links and lots of useless information that tells people how good the product is to its affiliates. What you don't get is any information about the product itself. If you're trying to sell the products on a large marketplace, this is completely useless. You need product information. What most ClickBank marketplace sites do is to follow the affiliate link to the sales page and then use automated software to 'scrape' the page. This works to an extent but the text you get may make no sense and may not be the best possible sales pitch. I visit each and every site personally and build my descriptions by hand.
The same is true for the site images I provide. This means my images show the fully-loaded page and have no dialog boxes in them. They show the site at its best. This means that, due to all my hard work, any visitor you re-direct to my site via a search box you place on your website has a maximal chance of buying a product, And as I give you 95% of all links you have a great chance of making a sale and getting a ClickBank affiliate commission.
So, I welcome you to check out the competition, but I guarantee you that you will be back here as I am the only person who hand-builds the information pages. Because of this I offer more and more informative text on both my search pages (eg Home and Family Section and my detailed information pages (eg 12 Month Millionarie Details Page) and these links and description pages are continually being updated and improved. It's my contention that this is the best ClickBank selling resource that you will find anywhere.
Yes, it has taken me a long time to build this site with all its content and there are still some pages that need their content updated but I'm in the process of doing that. Just remember that I'm adding all the content by hand. I'm also adding all updates and checking their content as well. By mid November 2007 this will be the premier site for ClickBank searching. But, like everything, the informaton and the site I've produced is basically dead unless it's advertised and made available. Notes:
As you can see this code is entirely safe, indeed I've given you the whole code for the search page. Once an user types a search term into one of these boxes and clicks on the 'submit' button they are taken to the celtnet.org.uk ClickBank search pages and your ClickBank nickname is populated in every search term that's found. Unlike other sites we also make sure that your ClickBank ID is transferred to the information page about a given product so that you have a second chance to gain a commission.

I have to admit it, making money from the web is hard, extremely hard. If, like me, you're working 100+ hours a week trying to make both ends meet. Adding content, with your eye squarley focussed on AdSense then I have to warn you that this is a very short-sighted viewpoint. Yes, the search engines are important and most internet users use them as a short-cut to finding the sites you're interested in. You'll be amazed at how many poeple use Google to find amazon or ebay when typing-in the address is almost as easy and a lot more convenient. So you absolutely need to get into the search engines and you need to maintain a decent ranking to make sure that you're visible. But apart from that, what you need is good branding and marketing for your site. Once your site is known then you have another job on your hands...
Like any business you simply can't afford to keep all your eggs in one basket. You need to find and mploy as many different ways of making an income as possible. Monetizing Your Blog
There's been so much hype about blogs lately that it's difficult to know what's truth and what's just hype. There are a few people out there claiming to make millions every year from their blogs. But the truth is that most of us have blogs that simply announce thing we are doing or point visitors to a main website. There may be a few ads on there, some Google adsense maybe, but they're not really constructed for pulling-in a large income. Rather they're more of a fre advertising and announcemnet site.
Indeed, on most blogs it's vritually impossible to add any monetizing sources as these are invariably based on JavaScript and that simply doesn't work (or is forbidden) in most blogs. This is one major reason that I developed the search technology for my ClickBank Marketplace that I did.
