Window on the Web

The events with my wife did focus my mind, however, on how much I really need to bolster my additional income from the website. I'm ramping up my efforts in the 'Help Stefan' campaign just because I've seen the obstacles these refugees face. They have lost their families and everything they had and even their own country doesn't seem willing to aid them. Indeed, all they face are obstacles from all directions. The entire situation just makes me so angry...
But I have to temper that anger with the knowlege that the only way I can effectively help these people is to keep on plugging away at my internet marketing efforts. I have to hold on to that anger and allow it to smoulder slowly inside so that I have the strenght and determination to plug-away at my various internet marketing efforts. Yes its hard, yes its difficult by these people are relying on me. That's why, as the first step to my 'run-up to Christmas' efforts I've published a page where I bring together my Christmas and Midwinter-feast Recipes throughout the ages. Here you will find Christmas feast recipes from the Celtic right up to the modern perdiods.

Four Days to Google Dominance
by Dyfed Lloyd Evans
The various things that have happened in my life explains why I've been running a little experiment. It's called the '4-day plan'. Basically I'm taking 4 days starting tomorrow to get my new ClickBank Marketplace the traffic it deserves. Initially I'm concentrating on driving traffic to the ClickBank Ads Generator systems that allow you (or anyone) to deploy ClickBank-based ads to their websites.
So, what has this to do with my charity drive and my 4-day plan I hear you ask. Well, I'm making the ad generation code available to you completely free and this allows you to deploy ClickBank search boxes, ClickBank-derived contextual ads (just like AdSense) and ClickBank RSS feeds to your Blog and your Website. Basically I've removed the barrier to anyone deploying these ads to their own sites. What's in it for me is that my 'Help Stefan' gets 8% of an income generated. Basically what I've done is to randomly assign 8% of any hits returned with my ClickBank 'nickname' rather than yours. This means that you get 92% of all the revenue generated and whilst I've done all the hard work I only get 8% of the money. Which seems like a good deal to me!
Of course, having generated all this code and put it up on my website the only way I can make any income from it (and the only way I can let others know about this tool) is to advertise it. This is where my 4-day challenge comes in. I need to use all my internet marketing nous and knowledge to market my site and to get people to begin using my tools.
This is not going to be easy as this is a very competitive niche. Lots of people have competing products and the advertising market is literally inundated with products. So I will need to throw everything at this. I have four blogs on various subjects, so the first thing to do is to write postings to all these blogs so that the various URLs that I'm pushing will get noticed. That's by far the easiest hit. The next step is to use my Yahoo! id to make some postings on Yahoo! Answers and get some back-links from there. After that I go to Google Groups and look for some appropriate groups there. I make some postings and add my signature which includes the URL of my new pages. Yes, I know that Google Gruops use the 'rel=nofollow' tag but despite this some groups have fanatical following and this can still increase your traffic dramatically.
I also make posts to free internet classified ads. My classifieds are already written so it's just a matter of submitting and posting. I also write this article and post it to my eZine list. I'm offering free tools to anyone with a web presence so word of mouth and email forwarding will be a big part of this campaign.
Right, that's most of the easy hits done... Next I log-in to the various forums I'm a member of and I post my URL and change my sig (signature tag) so, once again I get exposure to my URL.
Now we're into the more involved marketing strategies. I write articles for my own review/articles site as well as my own Forum Site and I add a new section on ClickBank. I also add a new box on my Celtnet Home Page announcing my new and improved ClickBank marketplace.
Next I write articles about ClickBank and how my new software will revolutionize ClickBank marketing. These will be submitted manually to the three main article directories that I write to. These articles are a very important part of my strategy as they make my product known and give me high-quality back-links to the URLs I'm targeting. Next I visit a few links directories and add my new URLs there.
Now I sit down and write a press release. This can be an excellent way of getting your site and product both known about and talked about. But they do require a little work. The first thing is to know how to write press releases. They have a special format and style all their own and if you don't adhere to this then your submission will be rejected. Now, there are a large number of places to submit your press releases to, and to help you in your marketing I've provided a list of free press release sites. Because press releases are syndicated and gathered by news aggregators and a whole host of sites this can be an extremely effective way of getting your site known and also getting a whole bunch of links into your site.
If you're thinking of using links sites to get your website known then I also have a list of Free Links Sites available for you. None of these guarantee inclusion so, if you want quick back-links then you may be better of with some of the low-cost inclusion sites which usually cost you little more than $1 for almost guaranteed inclusion. You should definitely not forget the article sites. I also have an extensive list of Over 300 article submission or review submission sites for you. Article submission is a critical component of all internet marketing and is just about the only guaranteed way of getting back-links into your site.
This is where I'm going to shamelessly plug a product. If you're serious about your internet business then article submission truly is a critical product for you. You could, of course, submit your articles manually and I do recommend that you do that as it will slowly build both your own reputation and the reputation of your site. But often you need to create a 'buzz' quickly and this means rapidly gaining back-links for your site. The only way of doing this is to use an automated method of submitting your site to a large number of article directories. This is where Instant Article Submitter comes in. You get the submitter itself (which submits to over 200 article directories [any you can use my list above to extend that]) but you also get article writing (and article re-writing) software as well so your submissions won't be exactly identical. This means that your submissions are far more likely to be accepted. This also means that as others publish your articles you're far more likely to get a lot more back-links.
Truly, without software like this you really are running behind your competitors in terms of advertising your site. OK, now that's all the 'big hits' done. I now apply my software to create RSS feeds and ads for the various sites and Blogs I run. I put links back to my site on these so that anyone who sees the ads can find out how they were generated and where they came from. Admittedly this is slow marketing, but it does demonstrate that the code works and it's good advertising! It also provides a few more back-links for the site I'm promoting.
This has been a lot of hard work but I've tackled most of the 'big hit' options here. It still doesn't mean I can rest. There is still the general marketing and announcement work to do (see the 'Slow Lane' comment below). This is where I turn to two stalwarts in my marketing arsenal: iSnare.com - Send Your Articles to Hundreds of Sites With Just One Click of a Button!; and ArticleSender.com submit your article to 30000 webmasters. They take a while for the articles to be reviewed and submitted, but the results are truly spectacular!
The next few steps are more like 'off-line' marketing but they can be very effective. As I'm offering ways for anyone to monetize their web presence and I'm doing this to aid a charity I write a flyer and distribute this to my local community. I also use my work's announcement service to tell people about this. Next I email my friends, family and acquaintances to tell them all about this service and what I'm doing. They then send the email out to everyone they know. It's amazing just how quickly this can start to cause a buzz.
As you can see I'm using a whole range of strategies here to cause a buzz and a stir about my site and what I'm doing. This is aimed at just getting the information 'out there' and also at generating back-links into my site. Though the timeline for doing this is only 4 days the strategies involved cover all timelines.
If you would like to know more about these strategies and to get further strategies, methods (and to have all the information in one place); then please consider buying my Maximize your Web Traffic eBook which has just been overhauled and updated with all the resources and information I'm presenting here. If you follow everything I teach in that eBook then I can guarantee that you will get to the first page of Google and Yahoo!

The Slow Lane
In the main article above, I've talked about how you can get an instant buzz about your new web site or product. How you can climb the Google and Yahoo rankings in just 4 days. Unfortunately, internet marketing is a never-ending process and in this little article I'm going to discuss what you should be doing in every other day of the year. I've called this the 'slow lane' as it's what you should be doing every day, every week to promote your website.
The first and most important thing is to Wirte Articles. You should write and publish an article to one article directory or another every single day of the year. You can use my list of Over 300 article submission or review submission to chose the best ones. I know that you won't write an article every day for a whole year. But consider this. Even if you only publish 200 articles in a year. This gives you a minimum of high-quality links coming into your site (that is if you only have a single link in your articles). For the most part you will have at least two links associated with your articles with means 400 good quality in-coming links. Then your article will be syndicated maybe 14 or 15 times each. This means a potential 30 in-coming links (each one-way) from each article you submit. Now, do you understand how important writing those articles is?
The next thing is to submit to your blog twice a week. This keeps the indexing spiders crawling your site and it also ensures you have fresh content every week. You also need to visit the Yahoo! Answers and Google Groups sites twice or three times a week. Again this gets your URLs out there and it ensures your site is spidered. This means that any new content you add to your site is pretty certain of getting indexed and made available very quickly. If you have an eZine then you need to keep it up to date (however often you submit). You need to keep on top of your email list and you need to try and grow it. But more important than all this you need to add fresh, new and interesting content to your site. A visitor is a visitor and in many ways a returning visitor who is already familiar and comfortable with your site can be more important to you and your marketing efforts than a new visitor.
Business Tip
Monetizing Your Blog
There's been so much hype about blogs lately that it's difficult to know what's truth and what's just hype. There are a few people out there claiming to make millions every year from their blogs. But the truth is that most of us have blogs that simply announce thing we are doing or point visitors to a main website. There may be a few ads on there, some Google adsense maybe, but they're not really constructed for pulling-in a large income. Rather they're more of a fre advertising and announcemnet site.
Indeed, on most blogs it's vritually impossible to add any monetizing sources as these are invariably based on JavaScript and that simply doesn't work (or is forbidden) in most blogs. This is one major reason that I developed the search technology for my ClickBank Marketplace that I did. It's constructed in pure HTML so you can use the search code above to monetize you blog (or any other web page you desire). So, what's stopping you? Pick-up the code above today and use it to add ClickBank to your search system now.
Even better, if you have a blog is my ClickBank RSS feed as this is considered 'news' rather than an ad and isn't penalized by the search engines. Also just about every blog software allows you to incorporate a news feed into your blog. So why not use these ads to add an extra source of income for your website today?!
That's it for this week, ladies and gentlemen. Check back next week for more from the world of CeltNet.
