I somehow can't quite believe that May is almost drawing to a close. Despite the fact that it's a bright, sunny, summer's morning outside I still somehow believe that it remains the tail end of Spring. Maybe that's because there are still tulips, daffodils and bluebells flowering in the garden beside me. Part of the reason for thie ennui is that I don't want it to be summer yet, as the summer months represent the doldrums for all internet marketers. My Swedish colleagues are already preparing for their June holidays and July will be the holiday month for much of the remainder of Europe.

Within the next few weeks sales will begin to flag and they will remain depressed for the the next few months (probably until mid September). Despite this, now is the time to go all-out with your advertising campaigns. It is also the time to plan the next moves for your website. To determine which additions and improvements to make to your website and to take the opportunity to implement them. Remember that the lucrative Christmas period is only a little over six months away and now is the time to begin planning for that very busy sales period.

With the holiday season approaching, however, do remember to actually take a break this summer. I know it's very tempting to keep going, to improve and extend your website as much as possible (I know that I've been guilty of this in the past). Yet, if you actually do take a break from your website you will return refreshed and full of new insights and ideas.

What does it Take to Succeed at Internet Marketing?

The Internet is full of many opportunities for making money. The market is unlimited – millions upon millions of customers. Your business runs 24 hours every day. Use of the internet continues to grow. Basically, the sky is the limit with internet marketing!

All the people who have been successful online have applied hard work and determination. Building an internet marketing business takes a lot of effort, dedication and commitment. You can not become successful online overnight; instead, sheer hard work, dedication, focus and commitment can help you become successful with your internet marketing business. It will take you an estimated couple of years of constant effort for you to start earning a significant amount on the internet.

Although anyone would like to start earning huge profits fast, the fact is that you have to take the necessary effort and time to create the base for your internet marketing business.

The first thing you will need to do is to set down your goals, and these goals will guide you as you work your way towards your dream of becoming an internet marketing millionaire. These firm goals will help you consistently work on your internet marketing business without giving up. You will need to be very focused and persistent for you to achieve your goals.

· Develop yourself. All that matters in being hugely successful is having the right mind set. There are various resources you can use for personal development and motivation. You must read classic books such as ‘The Science of Getting Rich’ or “think and Grow Rich’. These will help you develop your potential, stay motivated and focused on your goals. Learn as much as you can about your internet marketing business and prepare yourself for success.

· Be patient. A lot of people give up because they start with some unrealistic expectations of overnight success with their internet marketing business. It takes time to build your business. The first 6 months to a year are the hardest because you must work hard and your rewards will be little.

· Never ever give up. This is very important – a lot of people leave their dreams and walk away from huge potential because they give up. Handle any setbacks you encounter and keep on focused on your vision.

Make more Money by Focussing your Marketing

OK, I'll paraphrase the title above: Make More Money by Marketing to Fewer People. I must be crazy, right? After all the more people you can get to your website, however you get them there, the more that will buy something from you, right? In reality, if you focus your marketing efforts on a select group of surfers or consumers it will make your life easier and will, ultimately make you more money, as long as you do the right prep work.

What you're trying to do here is to focus on a niche market, one where you're deilivering content to a group of people in such a way that you are ultimately acknowleged as the expert on that subject. This results in a much higher profile for your website which climbs in the search engine rankings, which gives you more hits and ultimately results in your making more money. In effect, because you're writing and creating content about something you love and care passionately about your content comes across as if you're speaking directly to the person reading your article. They are engaged by your words and come to trust you.

Now, as an expert in the domain you're writing about put yourself in the position of your clients. What are their dreams, their hopes and their wishes? What would you, as a client, wany your website to provide for you? Once you have a list of these requirements create your copy to respond to and to directly address these requirements. Now create a plan or a roadmap of where you want your business to be in five years' time. Use this as a roadmap of something to strive towards yourself.

Of course, once you have created one website about one of your passions, there's nothing preventing you from doing the same with another and then another once again...

Do something you love

Continuing from the themes of the other articles and comments in this issue I have only one final tip for you this edition: Do something you love! If your website is based upon soething that you truly love and enjoy then your enthusiasm for the subject matter will emerge in what you write. You will come over as an authority in your subject which will make visitors to your site trust you more which will increase your all-important click-through rate which will mean that you earn more. Enough said...
