Making Money from Classified Ads

This is the latest in a series of articles that deals with easy ways for anyone to make money from the internet. Like all the other articles in this series this report will not make you an instant millionaire and will not suggest that you can easily make ridiculous amounts of money in 24 hours or less.
What's presented here is a system by which you can quite easily make $200 residual income each and every month and which you can then build upon each and every month to build your income even further.
I'm even willing to admit that I did not invent this system, but it's one that I've refined and which is now a part of my everyday marketing efforts. Indeed, this could be considered as as the 'idiot's twist' on the 'bum marketing method'. If you want to understand what Bum Marketing is all about then read my article on the topic. But basically it's an affiliate marketing strategy so simple that even a bum fresh off the streets could apply it for themselves.
Classic bum marketing relies on using articles submitted to article directories to pre-sell affiliate products with the links in the article so the article's resource box pointing towards the affiliate product. Unfortunately, these days, most article directories do not allow you to directly link through to affiliate URLs. In which case you either have to build your own website (and for this I would definitely recomment the Host Gator service, which offers considerable value for money where you build pages that you can re-direct people to from article sites) or you need to use another system.
Personally I use the Us FreeAds professional system for a lot of my affiliate marketing. USFreeAds is a great system that Google simply loves, so your ads get quickly indexed and are instantly searchable. However, the standard USFreeAds system (which is free) will not allow you to use any affiliate links. This being the case, why am I recommending the system, you may ask... Well, in addition to the free membership the site also offers a Professional Sysem for just $10 per month that allows you to submit an unlimited number of ads, which can contain direct affiliate links.
Admittedly, if you're just starting out then $10 a month can sound like a fair amount of money... But what you get is worth much more than that. As a member of the USFreeAds professional system you get a whole range of tools to write your ads, and rather than being a standard classified ad of 120 to 150 characters you can write your own web page with images and several URLs. What's more, any of those URLs can be affiliate links.
Even if you only create 1 of these ads each and every day that's still 30 ads written per month and if only 1/3 of your ads results in a sale and that sale is worth $20 to you that's $200 per month — far more than your $10 stake in the program. And I'm being fairly pessimistic in terms of your earnings potential here. Remember that your ads remain 'live' as long as you remain a member of the site. As a result, the more rapidly you include new ads and the more ads you put up on the site the more income you can earn. Each time you add a new advertisement you are building on top of what went before and you are increasing your earnings potential.
I do this every day... and to show that these are not simply empty words I'm going to share with you exactly what I do to make money using Affiliate marketing and Us FreeAds.
Firstly you are going to need to find products to promote. For this I would recommend ClickBank this is a repository of electronic products, each available for immediate download and which you can earn commission payments on. I would also recommend MaxBounty as an affiliate system in that they have a large number of campaigns on a pay-per-action or pay-per-sign-up basis where you can make between $3 and $11 per action. This is a great fit or the US FreeAds system.
So, how does it work? Once you've signed up for Us FreeAds you pick one (or several) affiliate programs or products to promote (if you're using ClickBank then I would recommend the CeltNet ClickBank Marketplace where you can srarch and review products, as well as automatically being able to create affiiate links (hoplinks).
I would also recommend going to the affiliate site to see whether they have a free offer and an image you can use. Now sign in to your Us FreeAds account. Click on the 'advertise' text at the top to get started. Now choose an appropriate category for your ad to go in (you will also be asked for a personal category to place an ad in and it's a good idea to set these up. When you get to the 'Place Ad Step 3 (ad type)' page chose the 'Enhanced classified using our easy to use HTML tools' option as this gives you greater flexibility. Give your ad a great title and make certain you set the price at '0' (you're not directly selling anything here).
Now add a paragraph about the product or service you're promoting (remember to add a link). Put a big 'Click Here for More Information' link in the middle of the page then add a product image. Now add some text to describe the product and its benefits (you can usually get this from the product sales page) and add a link again. All you need to do now is to publish your ad and you're done.
A well-written ad will get you 70 visits in a month and one of these will typically buy. If you only write 1 ad per day for a month you will typically gain $200 by the end of your second month and that income will keep increasing as you add more and more advertisements.

What's Hot in ClickBank
With so much of my focus going on ClickBank and ClickBank associated pages over the past few (and the forthcoming months) I thought that I should add a weekly digest of What's Hot in ClickBank to you, my loyal readers. Each weekend I update the ClickBank feed for my Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace, which then drives the various Free ClickBank search and Ads Code systems I provide. I've also started to perform analyses of the current against the previous ClicBank datafeed releases. Each time ClickBank perform a new release they analyze their sales and other data for that time period and they re-evaluate product rankings on this basis. New products come in, old products fall out of the system and product rankings go up and go down. I will soon be making a full digest of these data available so you can check which products have moved, how the products you are promoting are doing, as well as keeping you informed of any product price changes...
What this isn't is a list of all the top products for the week. Indeed, the top products probably aren't the ones you should promote as there's a lot of competition out there. Rather, what I'm presenting is a digest of the 'hot' mid range products. The ones that are on the up. I also support these product statements with an analysis of what people are searching for on my system. And you have to remember that I annotate all he ClickBank products by hand so my Celtnet ClickBank Search System ClickBank search system is one of the most comprehensive out there, and certainly better that ClickBank's own serach system. It's also the same system that drives my Free ClickBank Search Code, allowing you to put comprehensive ClickBank searches on your site.
The ClickBank database driving this site was updated on Tuesday 03rd June 2008 with the inclusion of 154 new products into the ClickBank system. These have been uploaded and annotated into the Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace and are now searchable. All the products have had their images updated and the products in ClckBank's 'top 30' in all categories have had their descriptions and sales text to make them easier for you to sell!
Of the various searches performed on my site during the previous week, two really stand out. The first is for anything to do with 'weight loss' and the second for the terms 'forex trading' or clear debt so you can see that the economic downturn and the efect of Christmas bills are the two things foremost on people's mind. Interestingly, however, the products that are making most advances in terms of ClickBank rankings are all those to do with gardening (search for gardening greenhouse orchids. These seem to be the products to promote at the moment and if you can build a niche site around these terms then using these ad feeds for your site would be a real boon. Remember that it will soon be even easier for you to have these ads on your site as you can use an RSS feed along with your AdSense ads. I'll provide you with all the tools you need!
Of the various products promoted in ClickBank, the following have been my top sellers: Top Secret Fat Loss Secret; EZ Auction Cash Machine; Convert Your Car To Burn Water + Gasoline = Double Your Mileage! and Success with NLP - Master your Mind design your Destiny.

The Secret of Good Search Engine Rankings
If you have a website, then you will know just how important good rankings in the search engines are. Everyone wants to be on the first page of the search engine results. Indeed, the real aim is to be in the top three.
Two things get you good rankings in the search engines: good content and links, lots of incoming links. These days most SEO experts would agree that a webmaster's efforts should go 25% :75% between writing good content and building links into the website.
Of course, you need to write your content properly. You should write naturally, almost with a conversational style. Limit yourself to only 2 or 3 keywords per page and use those keywords no more than four times on any given page. A good rule of thumb is that you can use a keyword for every 200 words of text you have. For maximum impact, mention your keyword once as a clickable link that links to another page on your site.
Mention your most important keyword twice in your first paragraph, but use your keyword no more than once in any other paragraphs. Follow these guides and your SEO will improve dramatically.
But the most important part of SEO is link building. The most important factor to bear in mind is that in-bound links should always, always, come from pages containing relevant content of a similar nature. Random links from pages unrelated to your content are worse than useless and may actually hurt your page rankings.
You always want to try and get links from pages with the highest possible PageRank (PR) — this being the which will show you the page rank for every page you visit. In terms of PageRank links from a site's home page are generally more valuable as this will typically have higher page rank. In terms of SEO you need to make your link text relevant, but the text surrounding link also needs to be relevant. Don't make this generic. Also vary the surrounding text each time you submit a link in case the search engines view your link as duplicate text.
One thing to always avoid are automated script-based reciprocal link services. Most of these services actually link your pages to 'grey barred' pages (pages banned from Google) which can mean that your pages will also get kicked off Google.
However, if you really must have a 'set and forget' system for your linking then one for the few systems I can personally recommend is 3-WayLinks.com which is the best linking service that I've come across. They set it up so your page links to another, which links to a third, which links to you. There is no direct reciprocal beeline back to your page and each link is counted as a one way inbound link by Google, which is the most valuable type of link.
Of course, what you really want is natural linking. Indeed, the very best kind of link you can ever have is a link that's a natural part of page content as there's lots of surrounding text to show what the link is all about.
You can do all this yourself, and it works, but you will expend lots of time and effort doing this. In fact, most SEO pros (including myself) use a tool called SEO Elite. This is a fully-featured link-building tool, as well as being a rank checker for all the major search engines. It will also help you find Google 'Authority Sites' which are the best kind of site to get links from.
Even if you don't want the tool itself the site offers a range of free videos that take you through a whole host of link-building and linking strategies and considerations.

Links, Links, Links...
Yes, I know, we're back to the link building issues again. But links are important they're the life-blood of your on-line presence. This is why link-building simply has to be a standard part of your everyday startegy. You need to keep writing and submitting articles, you need to keep-up with your link-building and exchange efforts and you need to maintain those blog posts.
Whatever your web presence, as long as you have some kind of presence on the internet then you will need traffic to your site. The only way to get traffic to your site is to get more in-bound links. How you do this is up to you. But if you ignore getting links then you are simply allowing a good portion of what should be your internet-based income to be frittered away. Look at it this way, if you can gain a hundred new links from quality sites you could double your website's traffic... And writing articles is a great way of doing this. Each article allows you at least two back-links and you should have no problem creating 6 articles in a day. This means 12 articles per day and 100 back-links in less than two weeks!
Of course, all this is a lot of effort (which really does need to be done) but getting and maintaining links will eat into the time you have for adding content to your site. if you want to out-source this effort and can afford it then you could use the services of http://www.mysitesubmit.com (which have very reasonable plans and whom I can personally vouch for) to get immediate traffic to his site and to improve back-links. I used these guys when I was starting out as they're cheap but efficient. Now, though I would recommends AmazingBillboards 'Full Service Marketing' as the package of choice for any webmaster who needs lots of guaranteed traffic.
