Review Site Marketing

Again, this is quite an old marketing technique that's being updated for the world of the Internet. It addresses one of the problems of internet marketing: how do you get people to buy the products that you're promoting? After all you're pushing a product and trying to get others to buy, but they don't know you and you have no relationship with them so it's difficult to make a sale.
This is where you employ the psychology of the Internet. The internet is there for information sharing and people search the internet for information on various topics. As a result people are used to getting useful information from the web. This means that if you can present information about a product in an useful or informative manner it's far more likely to be believed and acted upon than might otherwise be the case.
As a result writing reviews of potentially useful products or products that you want to bring to the attention of your target audience can be a very useful marketing strategy. These review articles fall in the 'comfort zone' of internet browsers as they offer information and an opinion — which is what the internet is all about.
With review site marketing you're writing reviews or OpEd (Editorial Opinions) on the products that you're promoting. You can even compare several products to one another, promoting each one and the features you provide. In effect review marketing is a special case of 'Article Marketing' which is defined as:
a type of advertising by writing short articles related to business' respective industry. Once written, the business makes these articles freely available for distribution and publication in the marketplace. Each article contains a 'bio box' and 'by-line' which include references and contact information for the author's business. Well written content articles released for free distribution have the potential of gaining the author business credibility within his or her market, as well as new clients.
Reviews are basically articles that focus on product evaluation and product comparisons. If your review is particularly well-written then it can be submitted to any of a number of article directories (here you can find a list of Free Article Submission Sites). However, you may be better either creating your own review site, creating a review blog or you can submit to review article sites such as Celtnet Reviews, which you can Join Here Free to submit your article. Your articles are pinged to a large number of RSS aggregators at least once a day, so you're guaranteed of exposure.
In the new Web 2.0 world, both article and review marketing has become increasingly popular as a marketing method. Indeed, many such reviews have gained popularity through viral propagation of articles via social networks such as Facebook and Linkedin. This can be a very efficient method of internet marketing, though the efficient use of article marketing as a form of promotion requires an investment of effort in writing high-quality, relevant articles.
So, how do you go about Review Site Marketing? I tend to use my Advanced ClickBank Products Search page to look for ClickBank products to promote. For example, if you search for the terms 'make internet money' you will get a list of almost 100 products returned. These all link to my description pages for those products. For example:
I would either take two or three of these products and create a review on each one or I would compare them and write an article based on a comparison. Basically clicking on the links takes you to my review page for the product and clicking on an image or a link from there takes you to the product promotion page where you can get information about the product. You can also search the web for other reviews to see what others are saying about the product. After that it's a simple matter of writing your review and providing links to your product with your ClickBank nickname embedded in them. And if you want to obfuscate your URLs or cloak the links then you can use my Celtnet Link Cloaker software to cloak your links. It's then simply a matter of saving or uploading your review to whatever system or database you wish. After that you will probably need to promote your article.
If you have written your article well and it is published (and syndicated) you can sit back and watch the commission cheques coming in (not that you'll be doing that, as you'll be writing your next review article and the one after that!).

What's Hot in ClickBank
With so much of my focus going on ClickBank and ClickBank associated pages over the past few (and the forthcoming months) I thought that I should add a weekly digest of What's Hot in ClickBank to you, my loyal readers. Each weekend I update the ClickBank feed for my Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace, which then drives the various Free ClickBank search and Ads Code systems I provide. I've also started to perform analyses of the current against the previous ClicBank datafeed releases. Each time ClickBank perform a new release they analyze their sales and other data for that time period and they re-evaluate product rankings on this basis. New products come in, old products fall out of the system and product rankings go up and go down. I will soon be making a full digest of these data available so you can check which products have moved, how the products you are promoting are doing, as well as keeping you informed of any product price changes...
What this isn't is a list of all the top products for the week. Indeed, the top products probably aren't the ones you should promote as there's a lot of competition out there. Rather, what I'm presenting is a digest of the 'hot' mid range products. The ones that are on the up. I also support these product statements with an analysis of what people are searching for on my system. And you have to remember that I annotate all he ClickBank products by hand so my Celtnet ClickBank Search System ClickBank search system is one of the most comprehensive out there, and certainly better that ClickBank's own serach system. It's also the same system that drives my Free ClickBank Search Code, allowing you to put comprehensive ClickBank searches on your site.
The ClickBank database driving this site was updated on Monday 27th January 2008 with the inclusion of 131 new products into the ClickBank system. These have been uploaded and annotated into the Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace and are now searchable.
Of the various searches performed on my site during the previous week, two really stand out. The first is for anything to do with 'recession' and the second for the terms 'eliminate debt' or clear debt so you can see that the economic downturn and the efect of Christmas bills are the two things foremost on people's mind. Interestingly, however, the products that are making most advances in terms of ClickBank rankings are all those to do with gardening (search for gardening greenhouse orchids. These seem to be the products to promote at the moment and if you can build a niche site around these terms then using these ad feeds for your site would be a real boon. Remember that it will soon be even easier for you to have these ads on your site as you can use an RSS feed along with your AdSense ads. I'll provide you with all the tools you need!

Multiple Streams...
I know that I keep on coming back to this same-old adage. But it's completely true... The only way that you can keep your head above water in terms of internet marketing is to garner as many income streams as possible. That way, if one of your products or marketing strategies fails for whatever reason you have others to fall back on. Personally, I have Google AdSense as my old stalwart, though I'm replacing this on certain high-traffic and niche pages with my own ClickBank Contextual and RSS Ads. ClickBank is becoming an important source of revenue for me. Both in terms of the various ads that I display on my website, but also in terms of marketing the products themselves — affiliate marketing, in other words. I write articles about some of the better products for my articles pages and I write a weekly digest for my ClickBank-based forum highlighting the week's biggest (and potentially most lucrative) products. Indeed, it's interesting just how many ways that various products from the ClickBank catalogue can be marketed, without directly selling them at all!
I'm also beefing-up various other campaigns and affiliate programs that I'm involved in, as well as creating a section of my site directly to do with affiliate programs and affiliate marketing: Celtnet Affiliate Central. This part of the site is undergoing rapid evolution and many more affiliate programs will be added to the listings soon!
As well as these more standard marketing techniques I also have an eBook store on my site where I'm directly selling Celtnet eBooks Store eBooks with resell rights, along with the store itself and the various eBooks I've written on and for this site. This eBook store also offers visitors the means to add their own eBooks to the store so they can advertise them and make sales. A novel feature, provided with any sales of the store system itself!
These are the current strings to my bow... They still require lots of managing and I have to do lots of marketing every week but my income is now increasing month-on-month and two years down the road I see myself having made enough to be able to sell the website and to be able to retire on the accrued profits. Just in time (I hope) to be able to enjoy the first few years of my first child's life... (Well, we can all dream!)

Don't Let the January Doldrums Get to You...
January is a dreary month... All the more so if you're an internet marketer. Your usual prospects dry up as everyone pulls-in their horns, tightening their belts after the Christmas over-spend. As a marketer your prospects seem to dry-up over night and the purchases made on your website dry-up to little more than a dribble. You lose heart and think about giving-up entirely...
The thing is, now is the time you should be redoubling your marketing efforts. Now is the opportunity to clean-up your web pages so that you improve your SEO. Look at the internal links in your site and clean those up so that the search engines can better find all your pages. But don't forget our marketing — and here is where you can begin making a real impact. Now is the time for you to begin the habits that will help propel your website into the ranking stratosphere...
After all, one of the most important factors that affects your site's rankings is the number of back-links to your site (especially ones from sites with good PR [page rank]) and the more of these links you have (especially if they're deep links to internal pages within your site) the better it is for your site as a whole. One of the easiest and best ways to get deep links to your site is to write articles to article submission sites (you can find a comprehensive list of Free Article Submission Sites on my website). I aim to write two articles and get them submitted each and every week of the year. As each article contains at least two links in the author resource box attached to the article this means that I get at least 200 good-quality in-bound links to my site each and every year (the number is actually more than this as so many of these articles are syndicated). I also aim on writing a press release about something new on my site every week. These can get you a large number of in-bound links in a very short time as other news services and aggregators grab your story (again you can get a list of Free Article Submission Sites here).
Continue with these techniques each and every week and you will soon see that your page rankings are increasing and that traffic to your site also increases. If your traffic increases then your sales and ad revenue will automatically increase. So, a little hard work from you now can secure your marketing future for the remainder of the year.
