Another week has gone by and once more I'm back to writing this eZine. I've been doing some really deep thinking during that time and now I've introduced a new product to help secure money for the Liberian refugees I'm aiding in Dakar, Senegal. Basically, I'm asking all my site's visitors to donate 50-cents at the One Million People Charity web page. Ovnce you've donated you get to write a profile of yourself and to submit an URL. That URL goes live on the One Million People Charity page and I provide a link through to the personal profile page you've just created. The site is called One Million People because that's precisely how many people I'd like to donate. That way we can provide schooling for all the children of the Liberian refugees in Dakar. I've also been very hard at work creating other ways to monetize my site and that process in ongoing. But almost all my income from this site is now going to Africa for one reason or another. Another reason being that my adoptive son an father-in-law are both desperately ill. Bum Marketing with Free Ads

'Free', or at least low-cost advertising on Free Ads system can be a very effective and low-cost means of marketing affiliate products. Learn how you can make the most of these systems to drive considerable income streams to your affiliate accounts...
Bum marketing itself is a is a variant on the classic 'Article Marketing' technique, which Wikipedia defines as:
'a type of advertising by writing short articles related to business' respective industry. Once written, the business makes these articles freely available for distribution and publication in the marketplace. Each article contains a 'bio box' and 'by-line' which include references and contact information for the author's business. Well written content articles released for free distribution have the potential of gaining the author business credibility within his or her market, as well as new clients.'
You can learn more about Bum Marketing in my article: Bum Marketing Explained. However, it can take you several hours to write one article. Normally with the research involved it will take me two to three hours on a Saturday morning to create two articles. But in the same time I can ten whole Ads Based on ClickBank products. I then submit these articles to Us FreeAds. Basically it's a way of writing short reviews or product descriptions that are effectively small ads. I call this technique 'Bum Marketing with Free Ads'. Here, in more detail, is how it works:
If you're an Internet Marketer, particularly if you're promoting Affiliate Products you know that you have to do lots of work to get the products you're promoting in front of as many eyeballs as possible. This is why you're probably involved in Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, PPC (pay-per-click) Marketing, Bum marketing, eZine marketing and just about any other technique you can think of.
But what abut free ads marketing? I'm sure that you've probably avoided this kind of marketing purely because the larger free ads sites don't allow affiliate-based ads. Now, one of the biggest Ads sites is US FreeAds and in the terms of their service the free account does not allow any affiliate promotions. But, and here's the real kicker... their top level paid system only costs $9.99 per month. You can post an unlimited number of ads and you can have affiliate promotion ads in there. For this you get up to 12 images, HTML tags and multiple links. Now that's not bad... You can even collect your Ads into a navigable 'virtual store' which you can direct visitors to from elsewhere... Other free ad sites, for example. You can get your Premium Account Membership Here....
The thing is that US FreeAds gets hundreds of thousands of visitors each and every single day and even my worst-performing ads get hundreds of hits daily. The whole point here is that just one sale on this system will pay for several months' worth of .99 dues and everything after that is pure profit.
I will be the first to admit that I avoided this marketing strategy for a long time, but I eventually simply had to dip my toe into the water — and I made my first sale within 2 hours of my first ad going out! For you it's even easier to take the plunge now as US FreeAds are offering a 1 week free trial of their .99 system and you can post an unlimited number of ads during this trial period time. So you can test-drive the system before you commit.
What I've also fund is that I can write five whole ads and post them in the time it takes to write on Bum Marketing article. Just remember that what you are writing are ads. You do need to craft them properly. So, though you can churn them out rapidly you still need to craft them. You can even write variants of your ads and perform some testing. Keep the ads that are performing best and ditch the others. Use the best-performing of your ads to generate your next set of batches.
These days I typically block-out an entire morning to go through ClickBank and chose the latest products or the product category I want to concentrate on. I pick about 10 products, go through the product information and check the squeeze pages then I write the ads for these products, using HTML and product images. Then it's just a matter of copying and pasting the HTML code to the US FreeAds system and sitting back and waiting for the traffic and sales to come in. Once you have sufficient ads in the system you are pretty much guaranteed of getting daily sales... So my ClickBank account is filling-up very nicely, thank you. Just remember to use a link cloaker to hide your affiliate links.

What's Hot in ClickBank
With so much of my focus going on ClickBank and ClickBank associated pages over the past few (and the forthcoming months) I thought that I should add a weekly digest of What's Hot in ClickBank to you, my loyal readers. Each weekend I update the ClickBank feed for my Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace, which then drives the various Free ClickBank search and Ads Code systems I provide. I've also started to perform analyses of the current against the previous ClicBank datafeed releases. Each time ClickBank perform a new release they analyze their sales and other data for that time period and they re-evaluate product rankings on this basis. New products come in, old products fall out of the system and product rankings go up and go down. I will soon be making a full digest of these data available so you can check which products have moved, how the products you are promoting are doing, as well as keeping you informed of any product price changes...
What this isn't is a list of all the top products for the week. Indeed, the top products probably aren't the ones you should promote as there's a lot of competition out there. Rather, what I'm presenting is a digest of the 'hot' mid range products. The ones that are on the up. I also support these product statements with an analysis of what people are searching for on my system. And you have to remember that I annotate all he ClickBank products by hand so my Celtnet ClickBank Search System ClickBank search system is one of the most comprehensive out there, and certainly better that ClickBank's own serach system. It's also the same system that drives my Free ClickBank Search Code, allowing you to put comprehensive ClickBank searches on your site.
The ClickBank database driving this site was updated on Monday 25th February 2008 with the inclusion of an amazing 420 new products into the ClickBank system. These have been uploaded and annotated into the Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace and are now searchable. All the products have had their images updated and the products in ClckBank's 'top 30' in all categories have had their descriptions and sales text to make them easier for you to sell!
Why the big change this time? Well, ClickBank have changed their ranking algorithm, so not only have lots of new products made it into the Marketplace, but lots of existing products have had their rankings changed. As a result you will notice lots of product churn in my Cletnet ClickBank Marketplace Digest.
Of the various searches performed on my site during the previous week, two really stand out. The first is for anything to do with 'recession' and the second for the terms 'eliminate debt' or clear debt so you can see that the economic downturn and the efect of Christmas bills are the two things foremost on people's mind. Interestingly, however, the products that are making most advances in terms of ClickBank rankings are all those to do with gardening (search for gardening greenhouse orchids. These seem to be the products to promote at the moment and if you can build a niche site around these terms then using these ad feeds for your site would be a real boon. Remember that it will soon be even easier for you to have these ads on your site as you can use an RSS feed along with your AdSense ads. I'll provide you with all the tools you need!

Banking on your Blog
Your Blog can be a very important source of revenue and if you're not using your blog as part of your overall internet marketing strategy then you're missing out on a very valuable marketing tool. In the article above you learnt about using Free Ads (or nearly free ads) as part of your overall income generation strategy.
To write small ads you should go to a site that allows you to search affiliate programs (naturally I recommend my own Celtnet ClickBank Marketplace to do this research as you can search my hand-crafted additional product text and you can create your hoplink for any chosen product with a simple click of your mouse.
When you've chosen your products of interest go to the product website (I link out to them from my site) read the site and create your ad. Use that add to submit to USFreeAds. But you can also use the same text to post to your blog so you get two ads and two exposures for your text for the price of one. It's also good if you can copy an image or a boxcover from your site to go with your free ad or your blog posting.
Basically the more places you can paste your review or ad to the more people will see it and the more likely it is that someone will see your ad and buy the product. Also cross-link your blog posting and your free ad. This will give you more SEO power and will improve both your free ad and your blog's rankings.

Expanding your Portfolio...
Over the past year I have been growing my Celtnet site into an authority site, rather than the cluster of minisites that it started out as (for a discussion of the merits of Minisites versus Authority Sites read this article). As a result I've added a truly huge collection of recipes to my Celtnet Recipes section of this site. The original Celtic sections of the site are still growing and I have regions for Medicine, Mobile Phones and much more. There is a new forum at Celtnet Forums and a review section at Celtnet Reviews. Big recent additions include the CeltNet ClickBank Marketplace as well as the eBooks sales and advertising pages.
The site has grown remarkably during the past 12 months and I'm constantly adding new content and features. But the one thing that was missing was a proper article directory. Of course, I've been writing articles all over the site and using them in many ways. But I didn't have a central repository of articles anywhere. This was a big gap and a big missing piece from my site. A week ago I started on the Celtnet Articles directory and now it's ready to go primetime. Originally it was designed for me. But I've now ammended the code so that anyone can sign in and submit their articles. Articles can also be pubished and used by anyone for their blogs and eZines. This is a fully-featured article site that I am going to be promoting heavily over the coming months. My portfolio of products and solutions is nearing completion and now you can use my Celtnet Articles site to promote your website, product or even to add to your own 'Bum Marketing' campaign strategy. What's best is that the article site has an RSS feed that's automatically pinged to the feed aggregators every evening. As a result you get a lot of quick exposure to your submission.
