After the Easter break (which I spent with my wife) everyone's beginning to get back into the swing of work and we're gearing-up for the summer season. If you're an affiliate promoter then now's the time to start thinking about holidays and promoting deals. If you're into information products then many people will be attempting to get fit for the summer and weight loss as well as health products will be good things to promote.
Personally I'm working on a number of information products, each with good content and targetted at various adsense niches. I've also been involved in essential housekeeping tasks on my website such as asjustinig the placement of adsense ads, altering the look-and-feel of various web pages as well as adding new campaigns and advertising materials. One of the big things has been a mobile-phone based minisite an information-based site which I hope, with some judicious advertising, will bring-in some good adsense revenue.

7 Tips On How To Build Adsense Sites

There are so many money making scams on the internet today, it is therefore somewhat hard for people to find legitimate ways of earning money using the internet. Fortunately, it really isn’t hard to actually make legitimate money on the internet – and it’s actually quite easy.
Thousands of people are earning money by building Adsense sites - sites specifically created to display Google’s Adsense ads. In this article, we will show you how to build Adsense sites.
Tip #1 for how to build Adsense sites: Find a niche
The niche is basically what your site is about. So if you are creating a sports site, find a specific niche within sports (like basketball, football, baseball etc.) Base your site and the keywords on the site specifically around that niche.
Tip #2 for how to build Adsense sites: Purchase a domain name containing the niche
This is extremely important. Good money making sites have a domain name that contains the niche. Using the above example, if you are creating a sports niche site, you’ll want to purchase a domain name like toprulesofbasketball.com or something similar. The bottom line is, whatever your niche is, be sure to include that in your domain name.
Tip #3 for how to build Adsense sites: Use a tool to find niche keywords relevant to your site.
Tools like Overture’s Search Suggestion make the job of finding niche-related keywords easy. If your main keyword is baseball, the Suggestion tool might suggest niche key phrases like “baseball in Florida” or other similar phrases. The reason why you want to have these phrases is that it allows you to pull in people who might be searching for say baseball in a specific state or city. More visitors=more cash.
Tip #4 for how to build Adsense sites: Create hundreds of pages
The amount of money you make from using Adsense depends on the number of hits and subsequent clicks you get on your web site. Because 10 pages focused on specific keywords don’t attract much traffic, it is a great idea to create as many pages as possible. Why is it such a great idea? Well, let’s say 10 pages will attract 100 visitors a day. Roughly 10% of those visitors will click on the Adsense ads (if they’re displayed correctly). So you’d end up earning probably $10 a day. But what if you had 1000 pages and 10%-20% of your visitors clicked on the ads? That’s 100-200 clicks a week, which could earn you hundreds of dollars every week! Over time, as your traffic grows, you could gain even more traffic and money.
Tip #5 for how to build Adsense sites: Make the site legitimate by using articles as your main content
Sites like ezinearticles.com offer hundreds of articles which you can put on your site. You are allowed to use as many as you want, so long as you give reference to the original writer. When looking for articles on these sites, be sure to pick and choose content relevant to your niche. So if you are a site focused on basketball, choose basketball articles.
Tip #6 for how to build Adsense sites: Place the Adsense code at the top of your page
Ads are more likely to be clicked if they are at the top/left of the page. That’s why it’s so crucial that you put your ad code at the top and/or left of the page. It’s by far the most important rule for how to build profitable Adsense sites, because Adsense is what actually makes you the money.
Tip #7 for how to build Adsense sites: Use different articles and titles for each page
To prevent Google from banning your site, it is important to use different articles and titles on each and every page of your site. This way, Google has no reason to ban your site for being a spam site, because there is actually relevant content on it. This also goes back to the notion that even with an Adsense only site you need to perform search engine optimization in order for the pages to be effective.

Content is Still King
It is al old adage in Internet that 'Content is King'. In these days of increased revenue potential from Google's AdSense program and from affiliate sales the old saying is perhaps more important than ever. After all, if you want your website to be indexed by the search engines then you will need real content on it. If you want the search engines to find the various pages that you want your website's visitors to see then you will need proper content on those pages.
You can even use good content to directly gain you an income by placing advertisements on the pages you have created. It's better if you have a linked, themed, collection of pages dealing with a niche that you can fairly readily climb the search engine rankings for. But you can still gain some money even with a farily popular niche. Your aim is to gain a large number of visitors to your pages. The more people that visit your site the more likely they are to get you some income. After all only about 1% of your visitors will click on the ads in your site so you will need tens of thousands of visitors a day to gain you a reasonable income. Though even a few hundred visitors a day could still be enough to pay your website's hosting fees and your internet access costs.
The thing to note is that you information site doesn't actually have to be about a product or anything that will directly make you money. Indeed, one of my most lucrative minisites is my Cancer Information minisite. The site was created (and is still being expanded) by my own researches and by information I already had (I used to work in the field of cancer). Basically, as long as it'll be interesting to a number of people you can make money from it. Moreover, if you're interested in your subject then that passion will come over in your writings and people will want to visit your site again and again.
But you have to realize that the key to making adsense income on a content-based site is to find new niches and to exploit them. But don't just be dependent on creating your own content. You can gain content from on-line article sites and you can also create databases and systems that allow users to input their own databases. How about a database of peoples' pets, or a discussion page? The more of the hard work creating content you can divest to your users then the quicker you will gain the all-important content you need to make a good income.

Building your Lost
Even if you have a purely content-based site, this doesn't mean that you can get away without building an email list. You want people to return to your site and you can do that by sending out updates that you have added something to your blog, or that a new issue of your eZine has been published.
Maybe you just want to tell your subscribers that new content has been added to your site. Then again, once your list builds you may want to share product reviews or offers with the users of your site. These are all ways of increasing your site's visibility and of generating more income for you.
