1) Make Money Taking SurveysThe latest ClickBank marketplace was uploaded on 21/09/2008. This time the general uphevals that have accompanied ClickBank's most recent releases seem to have quietened down to little more than a whimper. The changes they've made to their analysis algorithms seems to have filtered through the product line and they're now into what I'd call more standard update process. In this release there were 118 new products added and 134 new product images. All products with rank <= 30 have had their product descriptions updated which means that a total of 87 new product descriptions were entered into the database. All products with rank <=50 will have their product descriptions updated by Wednesday.
However, there is a bit more 'churn' than usual in the rankings with 15 products being promoted into the top 10 ranking spots in ClickBank and 9 of these being a new products!
Of the new entries, the following all acquired a rank <= 10 (these are the latest top sellers in ClickBank) and they came into ClickBank at top rankings:

This time there was much less churn in the number of products with ranks greater than 10 but <=20. 16 products in all gained this ranking, of which only 9 were completely new products to ClickBank.
Interestingly, on this release only four of the products that made it fresh into the top 20 last week remained in the top 20 this week and four of these were promoted into the top 10.
Of the 16 products ranked less than 10 and >= 20 the following 9 products entered ClickBank at this level and are likely to rise further. They may well be worth consideration for promotion:

The changes in the overall ClickBank marketplace, especially in terms of those products that are climbing in ClickBank is very interesting. You have to remember that the 'Internet Marketing' niche in ClickBank is by far the most active and the most competitive; as a result, it's much more difficlut for products in other categories to climb in ClickBank than it is for the 'internet marketing' niche, just in terms of the number of affiliates out there (which is why I always tell new affiliates to avoid the 'internet marketing' products as they're just too competitive). Which makes it very surprising that the following niches are the ones now doing best in ClickBank:
Run your car on water (conversion kits to increase your mileage with hydrogen)
Make your own electricity (how to 'live off the grid' by generating your own power)
Electric car conversion (how to convert your gas car to run on electricity)
Weight loss
Make Money with ForEx (How to use Foreign Exchange trades to make money)
These all represent the 'movers and shakers', those products and product categories that have climbed into ClickBank's top 10 during the past two weeks. Now this is a truly fascinatin phenomenon. After all, the majority of affiliates are promoting products in the 'Internat Marketing' niche. In terms of sheer marketing effort other products simply shouldn't get a look-in. But it's products relating to the pocket of ordinary people which are climbing the ClickBank rankings.
What it means is that the changes to the US economy are really biting and people are after ways to cut their bills, or are looking for ways to cash in on the current volatility in the money markets. Even the surge in weight loss products may be an attempt at both cutting bills and engerndering self-esteem through a focus on the self.
