Alchymie

by Dyfed Lloyd Evans
Embrace the realms of Alchymie
Hermetic seal of mystery
Confluence of Mars and Mercury
The moon that wanes in sophistry
Will seek the stone's philosophy
To grow the mean Homunculi
And partake of its prophecy
Replete with inconsistency
That marks the truth of Alchemy.

This poem from reading the Alchymical Wedding and Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum. The poem is an attempt at capturing the madness of the hermetic myseries and the closed-loop Ouroboros that Alchemy ultimately is. All paths lead inexorably inwards; leading to a secret that none may posess.
